London Fashion Week marks the second fashion week of the global fashion calendar and happens in Sep just after the Big Apple Fashion Week. Both fashion weeks showcase high fashion for women and men by spotlighting the newest styles in clothing, shoes, accessories and installations like catwalks. The spring event covers both men and women’s fashion and is lined up to start on the 17th of Sep and finish on the 22nd of the month. Somerset House on the Strand in London will serve as the location for the London Fashion Week. LFW delivers together Brit and London fashion with a company footing on the global stage. The major exhibition invites folks from over twenty-five states. This year round, that's Sep 2010, there are approximately fifty catwalk expos officially booked and in addition forty five shows are off the programme for the week. This event displays more than hundred instant clothings and accessories any time.
Fashion Forward is financed by Westfield London and supports English designers who've already had an impact during London Fashion Week. Estethica is bankrolled by Monsoon and supports collections that are based primarily on moral, or ecological, or organic guidelines. Folk wanting to attend particular catwalk shows outside of Trade and Press can do so at the subtlety of individual designers. It's a scheme which has helped one or two of the UK’s top designers get established. While almost all of the key AIFW events are only open to special invitees, there are a considerable number of events, particularly the Washing Day events that are open to the common public. When one thinks of the enormous fashion shows, Paris, NYC and London instantly are evoked, but you'll get the opportunity to see plenty of the same exhibitors, models and designers at the Amsterdam event. The event in the RAI centre is normally preferred to some of the bigger events by some guests with a rather more relaxed atmosphere compared for instance with Manhattan Fashion Week. I've always liked his clothing and this year I adore the women’s fashion more.
‘Green Fashion ‘ is among the themes for the 2010 show and this includes a glance at the materials and reusing of attire and any way in which the fashion industry can move onward in merging fashion and the environment. The Maxi dress is still awfully current but we see a virtually 1950s rock'n'roll edge in some of the shorter dresses. He's employed with lots of metallic silvers in his collection for Spring / Summer 2011. He demonstrated dresses, play-suits and skirts with a dropped waist in principally muted colors or pastels but grouped with a colourful yellow to add depth. I've already made a psychological note to do some leg work in the winter so I'll have perfect pins come April.
